If a father terminates his parental rights, does he still have to pay child support in Florida?

Fathers aren’t able to voluntarily relinquish their parental rights, particularly to get out of paying child support. Courts want to make sure that children are adequately supported by both of their parents. Not only under limited circumstances, such as the child being adopted by a step parent, will the court allow a biological father to relinquish his parental rights.
